Loy Halder is a highly respected senior leader with over 25+ years of experience in the financial industry. Considered as a pioneer in the GCC space in India helping to build the Goldman Sachs services presence in India, Loy has headed large Operations and Technology teams during the tenure in Goldman Sachs as the Managing Director. Super passionate in leveraging new and innovative technologies and techniques such as AI, robotics, workflow, and process reengineering to accelerate automation and optimize business processes, Loy has a proven track record of leading automation and digital strategy at Goldman Sachs while heading operations for India. With his extensive experience in engineering, having led equities and prime brokerage technology for the region, Loy’s contribution has been immense. He also served on the Executive council and Diversity committee in Goldman Sachs India. Post his full-time professional stint of 30+ years and with his commitment and passion about growing talent and building effective and motivated teams, Loy is now a sought after investor and advisor in the startup ecosystem. He currently serves as an advisory board member at multiple companies, including 91social, Zinoti designs, Talpar and East Village ventures providing strategic guidance and insights on technology, business development and growth. Loy is also a Founding Partner at Ancita Capital with a clear vision to empower the startup ecosystem in the emerging Bharat consisting of the Tier2/3/4 Cities. In his spare time, Loy loves spending time on sports, travel, history and teaching. He holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
